Position Summary

This position plays an essential role in hunting new Embed clients. With support from the Global Head of Sales and the GM EMEA, a disciplined approach to finding new opportunities and exploiting leads provided through marketing will be essential for success. You will be responsible for expanding our customer base in your territory and taking on new target territories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in business development – through the entire sales cycle from lead generation to quoting, to closing the deal, to ensuring the project progresses on time to implementation and finally handover to the customer.
  • Generate Profitable Revenue from New Accounts.
  • Achieve sales targets (revenue, gross margin).
  • Ensure face time with customers for selling and conducting sales presentations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams for new business opportunities.
  • Assist finance team to ensure payments for new projects are received on time.
  • Ensure that all customer activity is recorded in Salesforce.com
  • Look for opportunities to cross sell and drive customer demand for our other products or services.
  • Ensure inbound customer communication is channeled into our business appropriately and is then handled in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments and teams to ensure sales objectives and performance goals are met.
  • Build sound knowledge and ability to provide technical demonstrations and / or training to prospective customers and new clients as needed.
  • Assist in marketing activities such as trade shows and regional campaigns.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of our clients and the industry to see how needs and trends are changing and feedback to key internal stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Business, Marketing or IT preferred but not essential.
  • Experience working in technology or software sales will be highly regarded
  • Strong prospecting skills, ability to reach decision makers, lead qualification and closing skills a must.
  • Experience in solution type sales.
  • Experience in software sales is not a must but will be highly regarded.
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce.com preferred) software and account management systems.
  • Proficient in MS office with particular focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Client-focused attitude with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • General understanding of computing, point of sale and hospitality systems.
  • Ability to take a range of tasks and prioritize based on time, customer need and business need.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as a team member across varied internal groups and international offices.
  • Ability to speak another European language or multiple languages would be very highly regarded but is not essential.
  • Availability to travel as needed
